Terms of service
These terms set the ground rules for using Huna, managing shared workspaces, and storing operational records in the application.
Last updated October 4, 2026
1. Agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and the operator of Huna, Mark Paul Cañeda (“Huna,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). They apply to your access to and use of the Huna website, application, workspaces, and related features (collectively, the “Service”).
By creating an account, joining a workspace, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you use Huna for a company, client, or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
Important product limitation
Huna helps organize information. It is not an accounting firm, tax adviser, legal adviser, employment adviser, financial institution, or professional recordkeeping service.
2. Accounts and workspaces
Eligibility and account security
- You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if higher, to create an account. The Service is not intended for children.
- Provide accurate information and keep it current. You may sign in with an email and password or an available third-party identity provider such as Google.
- Keep your credentials and devices secure. Do not share your account, use another person’s credentials, or allow unauthorized access. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
Workspaces and members
A workspace owner or administrator controls invitations, roles, and access to the workspace. Workspace records may be visible to other members with access. You are responsible for selecting members carefully, removing access when people no longer need it, and ensuring that sharing the records complies with your obligations to employees, contractors, other people, and organizations.
If you join a workspace, the workspace owner may control the records you can access and may be able to update or delete them. Requests about organization-controlled content should usually be directed to that organization or owner.
3. Your content and responsibilities
“Your Content” means information, text, links, records, and other material you submit, create, import, or store through the Service. You retain your rights in Your Content. You grant Huna a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, copy, transmit, format, display, and otherwise process Your Content only as needed to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the Service, comply with law, and enforce these Terms.
You represent and warrant that you have all rights, permissions, notices, and lawful bases needed for Your Content and for Huna to process it under these Terms. Your Content must not violate another person’s privacy, intellectual-property, confidentiality, employment, or other rights.
You are responsible for the accuracy, completeness, legality, security, and backup of Your Content. Export important records and keep independent backups. Huna may offer local browser storage and optional cloud synchronization, but neither is a promise that records can never be lost, corrupted, delayed, or unavailable.
Do not enter passwords, payment-card numbers, private keys, biometric data, health information, or other highly sensitive information unless Huna has expressly agreed in writing to support that use. If you enter a business tax identifier in a dedicated field, you are responsible for ensuring that the use is necessary, lawful, and authorized.
4. Acceptable use
You may not use the Service to:
- break the law, violate a contract, infringe rights, or process personal information without the required authority or notice;
- access another account or workspace without permission, bypass security or access controls, or probe or scan the Service or its infrastructure;
- upload malware, harmful code, unlawful material, or content that interferes with another person’s use of the Service;
- reverse engineer, decompile, copy, resell, sublicense, or make the Service available as a service bureau, except where applicable law does not allow that restriction;
- scrape, harvest, or extract data from the Service by automated means, except through a feature or API we expressly provide; or
- use Huna as the sole system for regulated tax, safety, employment, legal, financial, medical, or other decisions where an error could harm a person or breach an obligation.
We may investigate suspected violations and take action allowed by these Terms, including removing content, restricting access, or suspending an account.
5. The service and third parties
Changes and availability
The Service may change as we add, remove, or improve features. We may experience maintenance, outages, delays, security events, browser limitations, or provider failures. We do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, available in every location, or compatible with every device or browser.
Local storage and cloud sync
Huna may store records in your browser by default. When you enable cloud synchronization, copies of eligible workspace records are sent to the configured backend and may be synchronized with other signed-in devices and authorized workspace members. You are responsible for deciding whether sync is appropriate for your records, reviewing workspace access, and exporting records when needed.
Third-party services and links
The Service may rely on or link to third parties, including Google for sign-in or analytics, Supabase or another configured backend provider, hosting providers, and public websites linked through bookmarks or otherwise accessed through the Service. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy notices. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party products, availability, content, security, or practices.
No professional advice
Any totals, reminders, schedule information, financial summaries, or other outputs are organizational aids only. You must independently verify calculations and decisions and obtain qualified accounting, tax, legal, employment, financial, or other professional advice when appropriate. You remain solely responsible for complying with applicable laws, filing deadlines, wage and hour rules, tax rules, record-retention requirements, and contractual commitments.
Fees
Huna may offer free or paid plans. If a fee, renewal, usage limit, or separate order form applies, it will be presented before you incur the charge and may include additional terms. You are responsible for applicable taxes. Unless mandatory law says otherwise, paid fees are non-refundable except where the applicable checkout or order terms state differently.
6. Ownership and feedback
The Service, including its software, interface, visual design, names, logos, documentation, and materials provided by Huna, is owned by or licensed to the operator and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms give you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your internal business or personal operations while your account is in good standing. No other rights are transferred.
If you send feedback, ideas, or suggestions, you allow us to use them without restriction or compensation, provided that we do not identify you publicly as the source without permission. This does not give us ownership of Your Content.
7. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Huna at any time. A workspace owner may delete a workspace through the available settings. Deleting a workspace is permanent for the application and may remove its membership records and cloud-synchronized records; export anything you need first.
We may suspend or terminate access, remove content, or discontinue all or part of the Service if reasonably necessary to protect users, the Service, or our providers; comply with law; investigate abuse or security issues; or address a material breach of these Terms. Where practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.
After termination, the rights granted to use the Service end. Provisions that by their nature should continue, including ownership, content responsibility, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, and dispute terms, will survive. Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled after account or workspace closure.
8. Legal terms
Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service and all content provided through it are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, reliability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted availability. We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements or preserve every record.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Huna and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, business, goodwill, or data, arising from or related to the Service or these Terms. Our total liability for all claims related to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the fees you paid to Huna for the Service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or (b) USD 100. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Huna and its operator from claims, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from Your Content, your misuse of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of another person’s rights or applicable law. We will give you reasonable notice of a claim and may participate in its defense.
Disputes and applicable law
Before bringing a formal claim, contact us at paraghimo@gmail.com and give us a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it may be brought before a court or other forum with jurisdiction under applicable law. Mandatory consumer, privacy, and employment protections in your place of residence continue to apply and are not waived by these Terms.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when the Service or the law changes. We will post the updated Terms here and change the “Last updated” date. If a change materially affects your rights or obligations, we will provide additional notice where required. Continued use after the effective date of an update means you accept the revised Terms, except where applicable law requires a different form of consent.
General
If a provision is unenforceable, it will be modified or severed only to the minimum extent necessary, and the rest will remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement about the Service unless a written order form or other agreement expressly says otherwise.
